Number of sex partners distribution

Data comes from the General Social Survey. This plot shows reported opposite-sex partners since becoming 18 years old. Responses with 69 or 420 reported partners are filtered because they are meme numbers. "Number of respondents" uses the GSS survey weights, which adjust for sample unrepresentativeness. "Number of respondents (unadjusted)" is the raw count of actual survey responses. You should pay attention to "number of respondents" and not to "number of respondents (unadjusted)" unless you know what you're doing.
